In 2006 Christos Vasilopoulos, a lover of honey, and Kostas Stamatopoulos a beekeeper, agreed to establish Arkas Melissokomiki OE with the primary purpose of standardizing and packaging honey.

The establishment of the company was not only the result of a business opportunity but also a product of love and passion of the two founders for the honey and Arcadia. The company's goal from the beginning was not to bring to the market "another" honey product, but to give consumers the chance to enjoy a honey of high quality, packed under the strictest conditions of hygiene and controls, which would be purely Greek.

With these principles, the packaging facility was built in 2007 at the majestic plains of Mantinea at the plateau of Tripolis, next to the Menalon mountain.

The packaging facility was designed following the rules of the health planning requirements imposed by the HACCP and equipped with modern reception, standardization and packaging equipment.

Aiming always at the highest quality standards «ARKAS MELISSOKOMIKI OE» certified in June 2008 with the ISO 22000:2005 (HACCP) by the LRQA accreditation body and continues to aim always at qualty production-and not quantity.
